We knew this was coming.

First, they tried to stop Chris Bell by getting a stalking-horse candidate to enter the special election to split the vote. Then, they did a push poll to smear his good name. And now, one of Chris Bell’s opponents is airing a television commercial with one of the pettier, more personal attacks against him in a desperate attempt to score political points.

The presidential campaign isn’t the only place Republicans are pushing their brand of "Smear and Fear" politics.

A push poll is going out to voters in Senate District 17 trying to smear Chris Bell's bipartisan record.
